How to Shoot in Autumn?

Recently, the weather is getting colder and the outer leaves are beginning to turn yellow. For photography enthusiasts, each season has different shooting themes, and in the autumn golden wilderness, the deep red forest is a good shooting material. Today, I will tell you how to take the taste of autumn and share some of the experience of autumn photography.

First, one leaf, knowing autumn
For many people, it is more difficult to shoot a large autumn, because of the limitations of the environment; especially in the tropical area, the seasons are not clear. In this case, you can choose to take an autumn leaf, which is called "one leaf knows autumn." Taking an autumn leaf, the mood is the most important. As for how to express the artistic concept of autumn leaves, you need to use the photography techniques such as composition, metering, depth of field and so on to capture the effect you want.
Second, emphasize color
In autumn, the colors of nature are the most abundant, the most vivid, and the most powerful to create a strong color atmosphere. You can collect leaves from different periods or collect leaves of different colors, hanging on a black or dark background, and giving the colors of autumn life by back lighting.
Some people think that a single leaf has no characteristics and is not attractive enough. But putting these single leaves in a specific environment, the color of the leaves combined with the atmosphere of the environment, the picture will be very poetic.

Third, use light well
The light of autumn is much softer than the light of summer, and the soft light shines on the yellowish leaves, adding more energy to the photos. If you want to take a photo of brightly colored leaves, it is best to use the spot metering mode, and then shoot with the backlight, so that the photos taken are better.
The photographs of the leaves taken in the backlight environment are clear, the texture is clear, and the local light and shadow effects are very charming. However, in addition to spot metering mode metering in backlighting, exposure compensation is used to balance the brightness of the picture. Remember: it's better to underexpose, and don't overexpose, so it's convenient for post processing.
Fourth, the water surface reflection
The use of reflection shooting is a common method of shooting, this method is suitable for shooting a lot of subjects, leaves are not listed. It is important to say that shooting the fallen leaves in the fall is very important. If you can combine the reflection of the water surface to represent the fallen leaves, then the effect of the picture is better.

Fifth, find a good background
If you can't find a large piece of autumn leaves and no long shots, then choosing a good background is very important. A good background can add style to your photos while also highlighting the subject. If you can't find a good background, use the sky as a background.
Sixth, take a good flow of water
Autumn is the best time to shoot a stream in the mountains. The picture is golden yellow, and with soft light and shadow, the autumn colors are very charming. You can use the slow door to shoot, the effect will be even more.

Seventh, make good use of the characteristics of the telephoto lens
If the scene you are shooting is very wide, objects in the distance are too small. Then you can use a telephoto lens to shoot, such as: 200mm, 300mm and other telephoto heads. Shooting with a telephoto head, the original small object in the distance will become almost the same as the near object, and it feels like the front and back scenes seem to "compress" together.
